How do I apply to the German job market?

Application Seminar for International SES Students

Writing applications – probably no one likes to do that. You should come across as good as possible, but not exaggerate. Show a lot of experience, but always stick to the truth. However, making an impression in a foreign country is even more difficult. This is the situation many of our international students from the Smart Energy Systems program find themselves in, which prompted them to ask Professor Johannes Jungwirth: “How do I apply for a job on the German job market?”

Last Wednesday, a seminar was held to address this very question and to highlight tips and important principles to consider. Veronika Jancokova from the International Student Advisory Service at Ansbach University of Applied Sciences led the seminar. Saghmitra Saxena, a former Ansbach University student in the master’s program in International Product and Service Management who now works as a project coordinator at the EDAG Group, was available to answer questions. In the course, the students not only learned how they can specifically search for job offers on the German market, but also which documents are necessary for an application. Thus, all participants were able to collect key points for their own applications during the seminar.
