Study at Campus Feuchtwangen
On site of Campus Feuchtwangen Energy and Building Technology as field of study from the Bachelor’s degree programme in Sustainable Engineering Sciences are taught. Also the master’s degree programme in Smart Energy Systems is located there. In addition, the Ansbach University of Applied Sciences’ Smart Home Laboratory and the Bavarian Drone Academy have their home there.
Energy- and Building Technology
Sustainably shaping our future through technology and innovation and digitalisation – this is the focus of the Sustainable Engineering degree programme. The Energy and Building Technology field of study deals with the sustainable reorganisation of our energy landscape – from power generation to building technology.
Smart Energy Systems
The English-language Master’s programme Smart Energy Systems trains the experts for the energy systems of tomorrow. Ensuring the supply from renewable energies and digitalisation is the most important part here. Artificial intelligence, information and communication technology are the tools for this. After graduation, students can take up operational, advisory or managerial positions in innovative companies or start their own start-up!
Smart Home Laboratory
The Smart Home Laboratory at Campus Feuchtwangen not only familiarises students with the various systems and components for a Smart Home or Smart Building, but also encourages them to try it out and do it themselves thanks to the use of inexpensive hardware and free software – ideal for the Smart Student Apartment.

Bayerische Drohnenakademie
For students, the Bayerischen Drohnenakademie (Bavarian Drone Academy) already offers versatile courses that deal with thermal imaging cameras, as well as photography or videography. Since winter semester 2019/20, the two courses “Basics UAV: Use of Drones” and “Thermography with Drones” can be taken.
